A story-led impact campaign

PROEJCT: HOW DO YOU TALK TO YOUR SELF?
CLIENT:
THE MANNEQUIN PROJECT

This short film was the centre piece of The Mannequin Project’s campaign. It was designed to bring to life how body image can hijack our thoughts.

This piece shows audiences how ‘negative self-talk’ can play out and why it can be so damaging, while highlighting what’s needed to counteract it: awareness and making different choices.

This piece was viewed, blogged, tweeted, screened at conferences and discussed online by organisations and influencers all around the world, including Up Worthy.

In a recent study (‘Impact of viewing body image health promotion videos in adult men and women: Comparison of narrative and information approaches’), Siân McLean from La Trobe University used this film (alongside a factual piece we also produced), to better understand the impact and consequences these forms of storytelling had on their audience. You can read an article Jonathon wrote about the study here.
