About Us

In an age where attention is so often prioritised over connection, we help our clients authentically connect with their audience, so they can make change happen.

If your organisation seeks a greater connection with your customers, member base, staff, or any key stakeholder group (AKA your audience), we’d love to hear from you.

Venn was originally founded in 2012 as a humble commercial production company. Working with a raft of agencies and brands, we created hundreds of commercial screen projects (of quite possibly every kind), but we were always drawn to the projects that sought to engage audiences in issues and ideas that matter.

While short-form storytelling (e.g., television commercials) has its place, we’ve found that long-form storytelling (e.g., whatever doco or drama you’re currently hooked on), allows audiences to connect with the characters to understand their perspective and challenges. Character driven stories imprint in people’s psyche - how many impassioned conversations have been had around water coolers the day after the latest ep drops? We believe this is what’s needed to educate audiences, cut through and inspire change.

This was the driving force behind the founding of Venn. Our mission is to bring our long-form film and television storytelling skills and experience to develop and produce stories that enable our clients to create the change they seek.

To deliver on this, we immersed ourselves in developing a process that would allow us to use character and story as a vehicle to communicate complex issues, ideas and causes – indeed, we became experts.

Since rebranding in 2019, we have worked with many incredible organisations to create impactful screen projects. From documentaries and scripted short films, to interactive series, we’ve applied our expertise to create projects that make change and progress happen.
